November 18, 2025 – The Cyclists’ Alliance is pleased to announce the election of a new Rider Representative to the Board, and the addition of five new members to the Rider Council for 2026. These appointments were confirmed during the General Assembly held on November 10th.
The Rider Council plays a crucial role in guiding The Cyclists’ Alliance’s initiatives by representing the experiences and concerns of professional riders worldwide.
This year, Heidi Franz (USA) was elected as the new Rider Representative to the Board. In this role, she will act as the key link between the Rider Council and The Cyclists’ Alliance Board of Directors, ensuring that riders’ perspectives continue to shape the organisation’s strategic direction and advocacy efforts.
Heidi shared: “I’m honoured to take on the role of Rider Representative and continue strengthening the bridge between riders and The Cyclists’ Alliance. It’s important that every rider feels heard and supported, no matter their team, discipline, or level. Together, we can keep building a stronger, more unified voice for women in cycling.”
This year’s new Rider Council members bring a wealth of diverse perspectives, experiences, and nationalities, further strengthening The Cyclists’ Alliance’s mission to create fair, safe, and inclusive opportunities for all athletes. The organisation is proud to welcome increased representation from the Continental level, the South American and African continents, and the mountain bike discipline.

Monica added: “I am excited to serve on the Rider Council and help champion a better experience for all riders. I believe every cyclist should feel protected, empowered and valued throughout their career.”
