2025 TCAMP Pre-Career x Strava Grants Awarded to 11 Promising Cyclists

December 14, 2024 – The Cyclists’ Alliance (TCA) is proud to announce the 11 recipients of the 2025 TCAMP Pre-Career x Strava Grant, selected through a highly competitive application process.

This program is part of TCA’s broader mentorship program (TCAMP), which was first launched in 2021 to support athlete development before, during, and after their professional cycling careers. This program is generously funded by Strava’s “Strive for More” initiative. Strava provided €100,000 to be distributed over two years, with the aim to create opportunities for aspiring female athletes.

This year’s grant recipients will receive financial assistance to offset the significant costs associated with pursuing a professional cycling career, including travel, accommodation, equipment, insurance, visas, and performance services. In addition to funding, the cohort will benefit from TCA mentorship throughout the season and participate in educational sessions covering critical topics for their careers and performance development.

The 2025 grant recipients are:

  • Ella Jamieson – Great Britain
  • Trhas Teklehaimanot Tesfay – Ethiopia
  • Aoife O’Brien – Ireland
  • Libby Smithson – Great Britain
  • Daniela Schmidsberger – Austria
  • Dorka Jordán – Hungary
  • Robyn Clay – Great Britain
  • Esther Wong – Ireland
  • Ngaire Barraclough – Canada
  • Lauren Dickson – Great Britain

Roos Hoogeboom, TCAMP Program Manager commented:
"Completing the TCA x Strava Grant application and selection process for the second year has been an inspiring experience. The selection committee was deeply impressed by the quality and diversity of applications, representing a wide range of backgrounds, disciplines, and ambitions. These grant winners demonstrate remarkable clarity about the steps needed to achieve their goals. Together with Strava, we aim to empower them to reach the professional start line within the next two years. We are incredibly grateful for Strava's continued support and proud to play a role in these talented female cyclists’ journeys.”

Throughout the season, grant recipients will share updates on their progress via TCA’s social media channels, offering members and supporters a unique opportunity to follow their journeys. Please join us in celebrating these incredible athletes and their bright futures in professional cycling!
